Sheffield Voices has been nominated for our outstanding work on raising awareness and challenging issues relating to bad practice and abuse of patients in inpatients units both in Sheffield and beyond.

Sheffield Voices made a video about the inadequate rating by the CQC of Firshill Rise which is a hospital that was meant to care for people with a learning disability or Autism in crisis. The Police comes to Sheffield Voices

South Yorkshire Police and their logo

Today South Yorkshire Police Neighbourhoods Inspectors for Sheffield City Centre and Mark Toyne our new hate crime coordinator, came to our meeting to listen to our concerns about how unsafe people with a learning disability are feeling in the town centre at the moment. We have noticed that there has been an increased number of people on the streets begging, drunk and using drugs and people in our group have reported to us that they are not feeling very safe.
